About Our Church Pastor
Akin Y. Ross was born on February 12, 1975, in Gainesville, FL. His family moved to Brevard County in 1979. He is a graduate of Rockledge High School, class of 1993. In 1996, he moved back to the Gainesville area to attend college. On September 1st of that same year, he received Jesus Christ as his Personal Savior. Pastor Ross married his wife, Javonte’, in 1999 and they have 4 children.
He joined the Monteocha New Life Christian Center, under the leadership of Pastor Reginald Lewis, Sr. There he served in many ministry capacities. In April of 2004, he became a licensed minister. After serving for 21 years, he transitioned to The Body of Christ Assembly COGIC in Lake Butler FL under the leadership of Pastor Abraham Perry, Sr. and served as the minister for 3 years. Pastor Ross studied at the Middle Florida Theological Seminary & Bible College and The CH Mason Institute (COGIC).
He is an emerging voice that God has used to minister in prisons, revivals, youth conferences, foreign missions, workshops, and city-wide outreach. In January of 2021, he was appointed Pastor of the Church of God by Faith Palatka, FL. He recently graduated from The Church of God by Faith Theological Institute.
Pastor Ross & his wife, Lady Javonte’ Ross, in the short time that they were affiliated with the Church of God by Faith, they have been appointed National Co-Advisors to the Second Century Department of the Church of God by Faith, Inc. Pastor Ross has also been assigned Vision Benefits. Expansion Committee.
Pastor Ross endeavors to “push people into their purpose” and he continues to assess and declare that “in spite of all that’s going on in this world, this is the acceptable year of the Lord and that this is the greatest time to be alive!”
About Our Church’s First Lady
She graduated from PK Yonge High School in 1995. She received her certification in Business at Santa Fe College and a diploma in Practical Nursing from Bradford-Union Technical School. She has worked in the medical field over 20 years.
Lady Ross takes pride in sharing God’s word, love and forgiveness with passion and boldness. Throughout the years, Lady Ross has been active in the music, administration, marriage/family, care-calling and women ministries. Lady Ross loves to work in anything that will help the building of God’s kingdom. She has a beautiful spirit and loves God and His people.
